About the Role:
We’re seeking a curious, driven Junior Frontend Web Developer to help modernize the digital presence of our organization. - Collaborate with a backend developer and stakeholders across departments
- Translate design mockups into responsive, performant web pages
- Help rebuild waltonartscenter.org using modern architecture and practices
- Build and iterate on lightweight internal web apps (e.g., finance tools, event microsites)
- Support CI/CD pipelines (Vercel/Render) and Git workflows
- Monitor frontend performance and basic observability tools
- Stay up to date with accessibility, SEO, and frontend security best practices
What You Bring:
- 1–2 years of real-world frontend development experience
- Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend libraries (React preferred)
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and frontend testing tools
- Some experience or coursework in web accessibility (WCAG), responsive design, and basic web security
- Ability to learn new frameworks or tooling as needed
- Interest in cross-functional collaboration with marketing, events, and tech teams
