A global hospitality and technology brand is hiring a junior React developer (2–4 years exp) for a long-term opportunity. Local to Chicago? Got a CS degree? This is your launchpad. Interviews happening now — decision expected by June 25, or sooner.

The Opportunity

We’re supporting the digital team at a Fortune 500 company in their search for a junior-level frontend web developer. This is a long-term contract (6 months to start, likely to extend) with a highly regarded brand operating at the intersection of hospitality and enterprise technology.

You’ll work in a collaborative, hybrid environment (2–3 days/week onsite in Chicago) alongside seasoned engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-impact web applications used globally.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and maintain client-facing web interfaces using React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Translate design and business requirements into functional components
  • Collaborate with backend developers, UX designers, and product owners
  • Optimize for performance, accessibility, and responsiveness
  • Assist in testing, troubleshooting, and prototyping when needed
  • Stay current on best practices in frontend development

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in frontend web development (not mobile/app)
  • Hands-on experience with React and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, responsive design
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field (required)
  • Based in Chicago and available to be onsite 2–3 days/week
  • Clear, focused resume — 1 page preferred

Nice To Have

  • Familiarity with design tools like Figma
  • Basic knowledge of accessibility standards (ARIA, WCAG)
  • Exposure to testing tools like Jest or Cypress

Why This Role Is Special

  • Work with a brand-name enterprise — without red tape
  • Gain experience with modern technologies in a professional setting
  • Real long-term opportunity: this team frequently extends and hires top performers
  • Hiring manager is eager to move fast — decision by June 25
